Costuming

Costuming      For the horror and mystery genre we are going for, costuming is important to symbolize their character and personality, especially for the antagonist or evil character. For example, Jason Davis will be our psychopath with his all-black costume that consists of a black turtle neck, black pants, and black boots/shoes to help him stand out and also hint at some bad omen associated with his character, especially since black is connected to death and evilness. His hair is going to be very messy, outgrown, dirty, and long, with a bit of peach fuzz on his chin to give him the look of a hobo and suggest that he might lack self-care, health, and hygiene, showing that his health is potentially at risk. Plus, he has a few props, such as a black backpack and a variety of different clothing, for the scene where he gets into a heated argument with Jaden Davis (his brother), quickly packs away some of his belongings, and runs away to show that their relationship is bad as Jaden is tryi

Preparing to Film

Preparing to Film      For our filming equipment, we are most likely going to be using the resources around us. For example, I have a Canon camera from my sister, but it might be poor quality since it is from 2017. However, our story is based around 2015-2019, so it would make sense to use this camera for this situation. Also, for the ending camcorder shot, our friend has a camcorder that we can borrow that would definitely have that old, eerie look. Nonetheless, if we cannot use any of these or something goes wrong, we can rent a camera and split the cost among the four of us. I doubt it will be expensive if we split it. Furthermore, using our phones to film would also be a low-budget option, but it might not look as professional or like a real movie. We might borrow from Beacon depending on what they have, but we might just stick to the resources we have to make it easier. 1. Actors At the beginning of deciding our groups, we already agreed on our actors and editors, so the actors we

Initial Storyboard

Initial Storyboard      During the last class, we had a whole conversation about the story, and to be honest...we had a bunch of misunderstandings about the plot of the story. Obviously, we cleared it up and planned accordingly. In fact, we spent an hour straight deciding on the story and brainstorming our ideas after changing our genre to horror/mystery. We decided on a total of twenty-seven shots and split it among the four of us, and we agreed on the different shots. I did shots 1-7 with the film credits on the left of who it stars, the directors, and editors, and establishing and first shots, Afifa Risha did shots 8-14 with the brothers fighting in the flashback, Jason Truong did shots 15-21 with the ending of the flashback and the start of the phone call, and Jaden Dinh did shots 22-27 with the rest of the phone call and ambiguous ending with the guy in the mask at the end as he switches off the camera. Afifa and I digitally drew it, while Jason and Jaden used paper and pencil for
